A collaboration of teachers and parents to inspire hands-on learning and fun with Lego robotics in Spokane
FIRST Lego League Jr teams are challenged to learn about water - a very important resource, during the 2017/2018 season of Aqua Adventures.
Get pumped for the FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. 2017/2018 season. In the AQUA ADVENTURESM Challenge, more than 40,000 children will navigate the uncharted waters of this important resource. Find out where the water you use in your daily life comes from, and what happens on its way to you. Where will this current voyage carry you?
FIRST Lego League Jr. teams are made up of 3-5 children - age 6 to 9 years.
The Fall/Winter 2017 FLL Jr season will start the last week of September. We will have 9 weeks to build and research for the EXPO in early December at Salk MS. FIRST Lego League Jr teams of 2-4 students working with a parent guide will design and build a model related to the "human water cycle"- carrying, using or travelling on water.. There will be an Inspire model to include in each team's model. We will be using the new WeDo 2.0 sets in our model and programming some part of the model to move.
TeamLocation: Westminster Congregational Church, 4th Avenue and Washington Street, Spokane Team meets one afternoon after school for 8 weeks during each season- will begin in late September 2017. Cost - is usually $50 for the season to share the team national and state registration costs.
