A collaboration of teachers and parents to inspire hands-on learning and fun with Lego robotics in Spokane
FIRST Lego League Jr teams are challenged to learn about animals and habitats during the 2016/2017 season of Creature Craze.
Swing like a monkey, fly like a bat, or hop like a frog into the FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. CREATURE CRAZESM season. Whether in zoos, on the farm, or in your own back yard, we all encounter animals in our lives. In the 2016-2017 CREATURE CRAZE Challenge, over 40,000 children will dive into the wonders of the animal kingdom. What will you learn about our furry, feathered, and finned friends?
FIRST Lego League Jr. teams are made up of 3-5 children - age 6 to 9 years.
The Spring 2017 FLL Jr season will start March 31. We will have 9 weeks to build and research for the EXPO on June 3, at West Valley High School. FIRST Lego League Jr teams of 2-4 students working with a parent guide will design and build a model related to animals and habitats. Each team will work together to build a model about an animal that shares a habitat with a honey bee and the challenges they face in their shared habitat. We will be using the new WeDo 2.0 set in our model and programming our animal to come alive!
TeamLocation: Westminster Congregational Church, 4th Avenue and Washington Street, Spokane Team meets one afternoon after school for 8 weeks during each season- usually Friday; will begin March 31, 2017. Cost - is usually $50 for the season to share the team national and state registration costs.
